...I would probably do 3 cream and 1 red accent wall. Then get red accent pillows...or keep it more nuetral and go with green and cream...sometimes you hjust have to see it before you do it.. post pics of your living room, where you'd put the couch and the couch itself..then maybe everyone will have a better opinion...lol!

I would think that a nuetral or off-white color would work for the walls, but then your baseboards and other accents in a maroon or deep red.
It might be best to use some color scheme cards to match up what you think looks good.
