Sunscreen - You Should Read This

I learned about an awesome site that has information about sunscreen.  Since here in good ol' AZ we should be using sunscreen daily, I think it is important to know which are safe and which are harmful.

Read this.

This is the one we've been using.  And it smells as bad as poo but we've been using it anyway because I thought it was perfectly safe.

What makes me mad is that sunscreen companies put false claims on the packaging and the average consumer has no idea they aren't true.  We should be able to believe a label when it says, "Mild as water."

Hugs

I have a new goal: I want to hug people more. I heard everyone should have 20 hugs a day to help their immune system! That's a lot! I love getting hugs, I just don't automatically think of giving them. So, if I see you, don't be surprised if I hug you! Or, if I forget, hug me!

I was reading an article about Hugs this morning and thought I'd pass some of the info along:

Virginia Satir, one of the key family therapists of our time, suggests that we need to get four hugs a day for survival, eight hugs a day for maintenance, and 12 hugs a day for growth.

A study done at Princeton University confirmed that babies and toddlers who are frequently touched in a loving manner until they are 12 years old are much more likely to be intimate and loving in future relationships. These children, when grown, found it easy to snuggle and cuddle, hug and touch, and hold hands. Those who didn't receive loving touches as children tended to be distant and uncomfortable with such contact with other people.

I love hugs and hug my family often, but I'm kinda shy to hug even close friends. I should work on that...every one would benefit from a hug!
