Christmas 2010 Granny & Gramps

I have a lot of blogging catching up to do.  It's best when I update daily so I don't get behind.  If too many things happen that I want to record, I feel overwhelmed and don't want to ever do it!  I want to keep the posts in chronological order, so here's the first of quite a few...

My parents had to work on Christmas Eve and Christmas so we celebrated with them on "Christmas Adam," as Devin calls it (Adam came before Eve...get it?)  Anyway, here's Jaxon in the Santa outfit that my great grandpa Ivar used to wear when my mom was little.  Granny & Gramps made the chimney for Jaxon to play in.
Gramps putting the boys' Harry Potter wands together.  They were covered in tape casts within 2 hours because they broke at every connection joint.
"Mark, set, go!"
Henry loves being silly to get laughs from others.  He's got such a fun personality (when he's not morphed into his terrible two self).

After dinner and presents we tried convincing Oliver that he should come by going on a walk.  As we all know, it didn't work, but the walk did cause a lot of contractions and was fun!  I learned all about my brothers big garden project he's a part of at ASU.  It's pretty amazing and I'm proud of all his hard work!

Max 2.0

Jaxon got an upgrade to his Max outfit--whiskers.  He loves it.
The zip-up pajamas are getting too small so we ordered new ones for his birthday.  Oh, and when Granny asked what he wanted for his birthday, Jaxon said, "Well, Nana is getting me an Iron Man costume.  She is gonna to surprise me."  After a laugh about how Jaxon had everything pre-arranged, Granny asked him what else he wanted.  He said he wanted a rainbow.  Why?  I don't know...

PS...I just found out that Olive Garden has recipes posted on its site!  What?  Amazing!

Granny's Pool

Granny got a pool and Jaxon loves it! Henry loves the pool at the Y, but didn't like this one...not sure why...so, he watched and ran around instead.

Granny

I just have to give a shout out to my mom.  She is really is an awesome Granny.  Jaxon adores her and for good reason!  She spends time doing things with him that he enjoys.  It's easy for me to have Jax tag along when I'm doing something I like, but it really takes patience to do something he wants to do.

A week or so ago, I wasn't feeling well so my mom came over to spend the day with us to help with the boys and make me some yummy chicken noodle soup.  She sat for 3 hours and did a project with Jaxon!  It started out with making just Buzz Lightyear out of construction paper, but being as he is obsessed with Toy Story, he also wanted Woody, Jesse, and Bullseye.  They made Buzz and Woody, took a break for lunch, and sat back down at the little table and made the others.  Jaxon loves them!
He's kind of confused about what a shadow is.  Because of Peter Pan, Jaxon thinks a shadow is something you can play with and hold.  So, he calls these, "Woody shadow," "Buzz shadow," "Jesse shadow," and "Bullseye shadow."  I tried to explain it and show him, but he just doesn't quite get it yet...
